Castoral respects your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we collect through this website, what we use it for and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect
When you fill in the contact form: name, company (optional), phone (optional), email, your message and any files you attach. The server hosting the website also logs technical data (such as IP address and time of access) for security and operation.
What we use it for
We use the data only to reply to your contact or quotation request and for any pre-contractual steps you ask us to take. The legal basis is your consent and the taking of pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). We do not use the data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep contact requests for as long as needed to reply and for no more than 24 months after the last contact. If a request leads to a contract, the data is kept for the applicable legal periods (for example, tax requirements).
Who has access
Only the Castoral team and the providers of our website hosting and email service, who act on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality. The map on the contact page is provided by Google Maps and is only loaded if you click “Show map”.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to its processing and withdraw your consent, without affecting processing already carried out. Simply write to portugal@castoral.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (www.cnpd.pt).
Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure.

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
